Gov Udom escapes death as Church building collapse on worshipers killing 20, (photos)

At least 20 persons are reported dead in a Church building collapse incident in Akwa Ibom states. The incident happened at Reigners Bible Church at Uyo, capital of Akwa Ibom State South-south of Nigeria.

The roof of the church building reportedly cave in on the worshipers Saturday morning as they gather in the church for the occasion of ordination of Bishops with thousands of worshipers and invited guests in attendance. Many deaths recorded while several others severely injured and rushed to various hospitals for medicare.

Governor Udom Emmanuel who had attended the occasion as guest of honour reportedly escape but his state of health is uncertain as at the time of writing this report.
