President Buhari returns to Nigeria tomorrow |
President Muhammadu Buhari will return to Nigeria on tomorrow Friday, according to Femi Adesina his media adviser, NAN is reporting.
Buhari left Nigeria on 19 January for a vacation in London and was scheduled to return to work on 6 February. His visit to UK, he said would include some medical checks.
However, a day to his resumption, he requested for an extension of his holiday, following the recommendation of his doctors that he wait for further tests and rest.
According to Adesina, President Buhari expressed appreciation to teeming Nigerians from across the country, and beyond, who had prayed fervently for him, and also sent him their good wishes.
His arrival tomorrow will put to rest the speculations about his health and will particularly shame death wishers.
In the past two weeks, President Buhari has been quite busy receiving visitors from Nigeria and making phone calls to some Nigerians, offering messages of succour, and felicitations.
Only today, President Buhari received the Archbishop of Canterbury, The Most Reverend Justin Welby. As it turned out, Welby merely came to say goodbye.
